The lens is fine if you like outdoor shots but for inside I wish I saved the $100 and got the body only with either the 24mm 2f2.8 Prime/fixed lens or the "nifty fifty" 50mm f1.8 lens, or the Sigma 17-50mm 2.8 lens. All those lenses let more light in for indoor shots, so it just depends what you are looking to do.
