As we head into Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4, many beloved characters are unaccounted for. Killing people off-screen is a bit lazy, but when the entire episode was devoted to the battle It was a big enough deal that Jaime vanished for five episodes. But as choppy as this season felt at times, a look back shows us a solid, riveting epic without wasted movement. Overall, opening up English | Spanish | Russian | French David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on. This series deserves a final season that makes sense. Whether you loved Game of Thrones Season 8, hated it, or, like me, felt ambivalent about the whole thing, it’s hard to deny that it was one hell of a ride. Looking back at my early reviews of the season, the word “underwhelming” pops up a few times, and ultimately, that’s probably my overriding feeling about Season 8 in its entirety.
