What is the difference between the B737-300, -400 etc #2593093. Well, sometimes it has to do with size, and other times not. the -200 is longer than the -100, the -300 is longer than the -200, and the -400 is longer than the -300. Of course time of launch is the real determent. the -500 is basically a -200 replacement.
I own the PMDG 600, 700, 800 & 900 in FSX and P3D. From the flight deck you really canβt tell any difference. The 900 definitely is prone to tail strikes on takeoff. The 600 maybe a little easier to descend. The 700 and 800 no difference other than external view and some weight changes for fuel and ZFW. Unless you want to properly simulate
The A319/320/321 and B737-600 or later all fly at the same speed (.78 Mach) whereas the B737-500 and lower models fly slower than the A320 models. A B737-700, on a hot day at high altitude, say 4000 feet, could land at maximum landing weight, do a quick turn-around and take off at maximum weight.
Boeing introduced the 737-300 first, and the prototype flew in February 1984. The Boeing 737-300 has a range of 2,950 nmi / 3,395 miles / 5,463 km and a maximum takeoff weight of 138,500 lb (62,820 kg). This variant proved to be popular, and Boeing built a total of 1,113 in total. Boeing 737-400 Classic.
The Boeing 737 NG and MAX differ in their engine design. The 737 NG uses CFM56 engines, while the 737 MAX uses LEAP-1B engines. The LEAP-1B engines have a larger fan diameter and a higher bypass ratio than the CFM56 engines. This results in improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions. Additionally, the LEAP-1B engines have a redesigned nacelle
Specifically, the 737-900 variant is part of Boeing's grouping of Next Generation aircraft, commonly known as 737 Next Gen. This group of aircraft includes the -600, -700, -800, and finally, the -900 aircraft. These variants are considered a large upgrade from the 737 Classic variants, which are the -300, -400, and -500 series.
The war of words between Airbus and Boeing continues over the A320 and the 737, with each company boasting its airplanes are better than the competitors. The competing positions were evident in the pre-Paris Air Show briefings from both companies. The comparisons between the single aisle airplanes were front-and-center again.
